OpenBase USA
Terms of use
Permitted uses, limitations and responsibilities when using OpenBase USA.
Version: September 19, 2026. These terms describe the free business-information service currently offered.
1. Purpose and scope
OpenBase USA provides reference information about legal entities and links to official sources. It does not provide legal, tax, investment or credit advice. No current paid reports, paid exports, subscriptions or financing services are offered.
2. Verify material facts
Records can be incomplete or outdated. Check the original authority and obtain certified documents where your transaction requires them. A missing record is not proof of nonexistence. A SEC filing is not confirmation of solvency, state good standing or licensing.
3. Prohibited consumer eligibility uses
Do not use this service to decide a natural person’s eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or comparable law. Do not combine these records into personal background reports, infer personal creditworthiness, or screen personal guarantors. OpenBase offers no such workflow or score. This restriction does not imply that disclaimers alone determine whether a law applies.
4. Other prohibited uses
- Harassment, discrimination, stalking, fraud, identity theft or unlawful solicitation.
- Re-identification, enrichment or resale of information about individuals using this service.
- Bypassing access controls, interfering with availability or attempting to retrieve suppressed records.
- Presenting OpenBase content as a certified government record.
5. Fair access and attribution
You may consult and link to public profiles for lawful business reference. Search engines and AI assistants may discover and cite public, indexable pages subject to robots instructions and applicable source rights. Bulk extraction, republication or resale requires a separate review of the applicable rights and intended use.
6. Corrections and privacy
Use Your privacy choices to report an error, ask about personal information, or appeal a privacy decision. We may restrict a record while investigating. No term waives a statutory privacy right.
7. Availability and liability
The service is provided as available. To the extent allowed by applicable law, we do not warrant completeness, uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular transaction. These limitations do not exclude liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer protections.
8. Disputes and changes
Contact contact@openbaseusa.com to discuss a concern. These terms impose no mandatory arbitration, class-action waiver or exclusive foreign court that would override mandatory rights. Material updates will be reflected in the version date; existing statutory rights remain unaffected.
